Feral Grayhorns

Feral Grayhorns

24.95

During the ascendancy of the Theocracy of the Sacred Flame, the Element of Fire grew disproportionately powerful. The brilliance of the light from the Red Sun blurred shadows and even affected the normally impervious Shadow Race.

Troglodytes who stayed too long in the brilliant light suffered a magical sun-stroke which addled their minds. And thus were the Feral Trolls born, known to the Trolloth as “the Sun-Touched”.

Feral Trolls are the epitome of the power of Shadow – raw muscle coupled with limited intellect – and it is Grayhorns that make up the bulk of the Feral population.

Grayhorns are too primitive to create weapons; instead they use their meaty fists to pummel enemies to death; each hit crushing bones and smashing organs. Neither do they use armor, but their thick hides provide a measure of protection.

For Feral Trolls, sight is of little use; the Grayhorns sense of smell leads them to their prey, and they are therefore able to charge without line-of-sight to the enemy.

Once they get within charge-range of their prey, the scent is overpowering, sending the Grayhorns into a frenzy for blood, sometimes doubling their charge bonus. Grayhorns are fast and deadly, able to unleash up to five attacks per turn.

They perform best when used as flankers or to take out missile troops.
