Scarjarl

9.95

Among the ferocious human Skannfyrd of Nordgaard are the berzerkers known as Ulfhednar – warriors possessed by primal fury.

Some rare individuals who have spent years following the teachings of Ulfeinar, God of Fury, gain a measure of control over their condition so that they can restrain their rage until battle. These veteran leaders are known as Scarjarls.

Protected by rune-scars and a tenacity to shrug off mortal wounds, the Scarjarl is a melee warlord of great offensive capabilities. Once he becomes seriously wounded, he goes into a berserk frenzy enabling him to make six or more attacks per turn with his two-handed sword!

His status as light-infantry also enables him to accomplish long charges.

This warlord performs best when thrown against the enemy’s core troops, where he can destroy most of a unit in one turn as a one-man slaughter-house.

Against enemy elites he is also effective when facing them one at a time but not when engaged by many; this is because the Scarjarl is not a particularly defensive warlord and so should be supported in such cases so that fewer enemy models can engage him.
